@(you need an account to see links) you shouldnt have watched the trailer IMO. I watched the trailer after I watched the movie and it seemed to spoil the movie a bit D: I'm sure it'll be amazing either way though!!

I watched it a few weeks ago and LOVED IT! Which is funny, cause I actually tried reading the book, absolutely loathed the beginning and stopped reading. Had I known... (I just couldn't stand the way he went on and on about Amy and thought it would be a sappy love story or something LMAO)
You get to a certain point in the movie where you just go... wait, there's MORE? I haven't been so pleasantly surprised in a while hah
@(you need an account to see links) I see what you mean but when do movies ever get police/courtroom/forensic 100% right? It would make for a lot less entertaining stories. It didn't annoy me to the point of not enjoying the great acting, directing and photography.

    -please excuse the english!-

    SPOILERS

    Finally saw Gone Girl!
It wasn't on cinemas anymore where I live, but I found a HQ version of the film online.

WOW. This film was SO misanthropic and pessimistic, but surprisingly I enjoyed it a lot!

The female lead (Rosamund Pike) was very triggering for me though... (It reminded me of someone who was a Perverse Narcissique/Sociopath/Histrionic/Mythomaniac/Batshit crazy, and made my life a living hell. Even though she is gone there are still shadows of her.)

But personal experience aside, I liked how the lead characters were both ambiguous.
The film depicted really well the question about, How we are; How we are seen; How we are seen by the media and How we portray ourselves in front of the media (and how some people manipulate masses with media)

I hate these type of toxic crazy people (HATE)... BUT! I thought this film was feminist too?
Feminist would be a wrong word, but I like how it showed that people had still a very sexist point of view of women. (ie: women are perceived as innocent; weak; less intelligent; non-threatening) and I think she is the most evil femme fatale I have seen!
And yet in the end, the male cops/interrogators suspect nothing. And there is a turn in position of power between Rosamund and Ben which is so well done! And in the end... they both kind of deserve each other.

I loved the character of the female cop & the lawyer brought the comedy.
    Ben Afflek can act !

I loved the entire movie, its so much well prepared, the Unreliable narrator, the double plot twist.
And that end i loved, the sarcastic face of Ben Affleck. and the "the endless cycle" that the movie makes to understand.
    rate 8/10

Shit I was planning to watch it but exams got in the way and I chose to watch Interstellar first. I'm probably going to watch it today, since it looks like they're starting to phase the movie out of the cinemas now.
My friends all said it messed them up. I can't wait :*

    Here is my review.

This shit is fucked up bad, imo. it had very dark twists, none of which I could expected. The ending was pretty bad, no closure hurts like a bitch

Didn't watch the movie, but read the book last summer and loved it. Couldn't stop talking about it. I wasn't really impressed by the trailer, so I haven't made a real effort to watch the movie. Anyone else here read the book?

I got curious about Gillian Flynn's other books and read them too, Dark Places didn't really impress me but I liked Sharp Objects more. Gone Girl certainly shines out as the best of the three.

Now I'm looking for something else to fill the hole that Gone Girl left in me...

I finally got a chance to see gone girl, been wanting to see it for a while now. Was a good movie, no complaints. I did enjoy the plot twists and depth of character. I think the actress that portrayed Amy Dunne did a stellar job of bringing such a sly, outwitting and intelligent character to life. Some very small details could have been improved but no big deal.
