No drivers cost money, you might not be looking in the right place. Go find out what kind of graphics card you have (Nvidia, AMD, etc), then go directly to their website and update the driver.
I dont think its a software issue if it was ok a few days ago.
my guess is that either the screen is damaged or the graphics card is faulty.
If I were you i would open it and remove and reattach the card if it is not integrated directly to the main part of the computer. I know its hard for some people but its like opening the hood of a car it might be scary at first changing the oil yourself but after fiddling around with it you realize its not to coplex + you feel closer to your machine.
It should be under the keyboard so maybe water reached it? Good luck.
