Shells are accounts that have basically been created and abandoned by the original owner. Shells are good for securing items/pets in, pretty much. It's basically just an account for you to store your goodies in and they cost about $1 per shell. You can buy a shell and build it up into a main account to resell for more money as well. You can do whatever you see fit with your shells!
