I have no interest in games.
All my pals play Fifa, Tekken, CoD, Halo etc etc
I don't have a playstation or xbox, the last console I had was PS2 and a PSP I bought simply to practice Tekken.
I played a fair bit of Vice City / 50Cent Bulletproof / Midnight Club 3/ NFS Most Wanted / Tekken 6 / Assasins Creed when I was younger but now I don't see the point of dropping half a grand on this shit.
You don't get anything out of it?
You build up your account or team or character or w/e until the latest installment comes out the next year and you have to start all over again.
What is the point?
I don't find it fun I'd rather just have a laugh, or go out and play a game of league or smth idk.
I didn't have money growin up to buy what I wanted, and now that I have the money I don't wanna buy it
I was at the shops just lookin at the PS4 packages, I decided I was going to get one but I just simply don't see the appeal anymore
Anyone else feel this way?

You're thinking like a console peasant that plays CoD and Halo.
League is the same. You play a game, buy items, build your character, shit on other players, then start over again next game.
Most people I know play games to relax and have fun. I don't even play competitive games. It defeats the purpose because I can't relax while playing competitive games. Not that I'm good at them either. I like minecraft because it's all about cooperation with other players for survival and building purposes and that makes it really fun. There isn't any other game that will give you a similar experience. Other than that, I like playing AAA games for the stories and lore.
I used to be a hardcore game nerd, now i dont even have the motivation to pick up an xbox controller for anything but netflix
I can totally see where you're coming from. Sometimes I buy games just for the hype surrounding them, play them for a few days, then never play them again. That's $60 each game that just sits in the pile of in played games.
I don't take it too seriously though, mostly just play for fun. Half the time I've got my laptop with me and I end up zoning out of the game while I do something else online lol. I am one of those people who mostly just plays cod though. I'm good at it and I know everything about it, so it's easy to kick back and play a few games from time to time. I've started cutting back what I buy though, putting that money towards other things.
If you don't have a game system already, and don't plan on playing much, it would definitely be a waste of money. Just get a GameCube, mario kart, and you're set!
What's my definition of success?
Creating something no one else can
Being brave enough to dream big
Grindin' when you're told to just quit
Giving more when you got nothin' left

I personally love gaming. It helps me distract myself from anxiety and things going on in real life and lets me take on the role of someone else. I'm not a fan of the competitive games like CoD as those are the rather frustrating and repetitive kinds (though I do adore L4D2), but games that kind of play out like a movie are my favorite. They're more entertaining that way, especially in the horror genre. Plus it's more exciting than a movie itself, because you take on that role of the main character and the suspense is so much more intense. I feel so immersed in games because I'm the one making the decisions, solving the puzzles, and handling every situation. You don't get to do that in a movie. You just sit there and yell at the characters for being idiots. Also, while I do have quite a few gaming consoles, I like to stick to PC games. That way you're not wasting your money on a console that's solely for games.

I feel the same way about drinking. Why would anyone do that? They don't get anything out of it except that temporary feel goodiness and then it's back to reality, occasionally with a hangover. I'd rather just have a laugh, or go out and play a game of league or smth idk.
