    Help healing scars

So, last week I had a tumour removed and the incision got infected (cause fuck my life). It's going to leave a nasty scar on a place where I really don't want a nasty scar. Any suggestions on how to help the scar heal so it doesn't look like I got shanked?

    Plznthx.

Vitamin e oil works pretty well, and you can buy scar removers at the store.
But those won't remove the scar. they will just help them fade till it isn't as noticeable.
If it's really bad you could get laser scar removal.

So you're going to want to wait until that pretty lil things heals. Then you're going to want to go get some mederma. It's expensive, ike about $25 for a small tube. However I have the stuff and I have problems with a reoccuring break out on my face. Every time I get one it leaves a nasty scar. Use that stuff once a day with a nice cocoa butter like palmers and depending on how bad the scar it is it could completely disappear or fade to something very very light.

The stuff does flake though, which is kind of gross. And I'm not a huge fan of the smell but eh what can you do.

When my sister had her c-section (they opened her twice! she had toxemia and she was so swelled and what not). The hospital gave her some scar gel called "Kelo-Cote." Her scars look a lot better than they would have. I'd recommend that.

Honestly time and as mentioned those gels help. My C-section scar has healed ALOT over time and isn't super noticeable anymore. I think time is the biggest factor usually with scars. The gels just help lighten them and such.

So sorry to hear you had to have that done though. I hope you feel better soon!

    is it spooky season yet?

I've always used coconut butter/oil for my scars. You can give it a try. It's pretty inexpensive in most stores.

yea i had a tumor removed too. they cut inside my right ear, on the edge of my ear lobe, but up around the other side of it then all the way down to about halfway down my neck. (since its been sued back i dont really have a dangly earlobe, my earlobes are completely diff looking, but its barely noticeable lol)

it was a nasty scar for awhile, people would always ask me about it, now its barely really noticeable. All i really did was give it time. I think they may have given me oitment for it, but i'm a guy, so ofc i only used it for like the first week then forgot.
now the scar isnt raised at all, its like a line. and its not any other color really because now its just a line. so i hardly get asked about it, once in a blue moon someone i meet will ask me about it.

Okay everyone is giving good ideas and advice. I would go to amazon and search up "Bio-oil", it's a cheap and probably the easiest solution I found for scars.

tmi - my own review for it

I burned my hand while drunk over the weekend and it's starting to heal but I'm thinking it might leave a scar. I might not worry about trying to fade it though. I like scars. I think of them as battle wounds.

Thank you all for your suggestions. My incision opened up somehow and that's where the infection got in. It's still closing up again so I'll have a bit more healing up time to do. I normally love scars but I'd prefer to not have any terrible ones on special areas. xD
