Hi! You know that feeling of nostalgia you get about classic Mario, Neopets, Pokemon, etc? Like when Neopets had no ads and still had that scroll at the top that had the options of where to visit? 2D Mario vs 3D Mario?
Which one is better?
Classic games or the new and "improved" games?
I voted updated because even though I like classic games, it's only because they ARE classic, not necessarily because they're good.

I voted Classic, but I love the updated games as well, so this was a hard decision.

For Neopets, I really hated the classic games, but the ads are too much for me to want to vote for updated. Definitely miss the scroll at the top, that was the nicest part of the old layout
For other games, the one main one I can think of right now is Donkey Kong Country on the Super NES. The original one was a blast. The new one doesn't even have some of the stuff that was in the original. I haven't played the new one in a while, but I think I remember that they took out the red/green crocodiles?? And other stuff. Not cool, not cool. In general, I think I'd go for classic for games outside of Neo.

When I was a *~gamer grrrl~* I only had gameboy (original, then color), SNES, N64, and then a PS2 but by then I was losing interest in video games as a whole. My husband has kept up with the latest XBoxes and crap but I haven't played anything on them. I really liked the RBYGSC Pokemon, and the NES/SNES Marios so that is what I get most nostalgic about.
I'm indifferent to new vs old Neo because it's really not that different other than customization, which I don't really participate in.
I like the classics for certain things, like neo and handheld gaming.
But for xbox and such, I like the updated, surreal feeling of the games. Nothing better like feeling like youre right in the action on the big screen.
What's my definition of success?

Depends. For video games, I prefer updated. I still love the classics, though.

I voted for updated. I like new features and it takes awhile for me to get used to updated versions
