The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand is what mainly caused world war 1. we learned it this year. Trench warfare also began in world war 1.
Hello guys !
So I'm currently working on this project that I need to hand-in as soon as possible.
Basically, I need to explain what leaded to the World War I (causes) + to the Battle of Verdun. I also need to explain why French Canadians got involved in it.
I've read about it in my book and on the net, but I feel like I'm not sure I understand exactly how the different countries in Europe got involved with one another.
I also don't seem to find anything relevant about why French Canadians decided to battle alongside with France.
Any help is welcome and I will +REP of course !
