How do you make a poll?... +rep for answer

I've been wanting to make a 16 personality type poll for quite some time, but when I select 'post a poll', and then the number 16, there are no options for me to add to. Is there a button at the top here that I am not noticing or is this an option only for some users to use? I thought it might be that my browser was outdated, but I've tried it on two I.E. and current Firefox still with no luck.

Any help is loved, and of course, rep for answers.

at the top of the thread there will be a drop down menu from thread tools, pick add/create a poll and it will lead you from there.

Yeah I've clicked on that, but it doesn't give me any boxes to put poll answers in.

for number of poll options type in how many you want and then hit update options.

Still nothing, I don't have any poll options other than Post a poll, poll number options, opted for 16.... nothing else.
