I have a couple different personas on neopets, and I tend to get really attached to them. Basically I just "become" the person who left their account behind. I sometimes find them on Facebook, I read their petpages and imitate the smilies they use. It can be fun. :p but I definitely prefer certain identities to others. I've never lied online. Not even if I tried (in those random chat boards), I just find it unnecessary. If I don't feel like I can trust the person I'm talking to, I just stop talking to them altogether (don't know if i'm explaining myself that well)

I could never pass as someone else online. To me, online is where I've built my real friendships as I don't really have anyone around me to talk to outside of my family. I hope those who I've been talking to were honest with me as I have been with them.
