Are you allowed to post honest, non-harrasing or non-inflamatry comments on a persons trade thread? Specifically, I sent a private message to a person in the trade thread, who also happens to be a moderator on the forum requesting a quote. Prior to giving me a partial quote, the trader started asking me personal questions that did not have to do with the thread, the quote, or anything that related to the trade.
I posted a simple comment on their trade thread "this is a great thread, but be prepared to answer personal questions before you get a quote"
The trader/staff member then deleted that comment. I just want to know if it is allowed to post comments on a thread, if all non-inflammatory comments by users are deleted by staff, or if staff may delete post to their own threads to hide any views they dont want others to see that may or may not divluge their trading/communication habits.
I did not see anything in the rules that address this issue.
This is the second time I am posting this for replies, as the same moderator in question has commented, and closed the post to avoid discusssion. In reply to his comment, asking several questions that have nothing to do with this site, the quote, or the trade even after the questions were answered and he was informed that he was being invasive is not acceptable in most places. As for those users breaking the rules, he has the power to seach the forum and find them, as I also informed him. Moderators should not be biased, but deal with all users equally and not prevent those who seek assistance from getting it. Asking for a quote does not entitle ANY trader to question you about your internet habits off of this site. Once you decide to go through with a trade or do business, a certain level of questioning is expected. NOT for a simple price quote.

Lex

What's my definition of success?
Creating something no one else can
Being brave enough to dream big
Grindin' when you're told to just quit
Giving more when you got nothin' left
