So I went to Six Flags today and I was so excited to go on the Green Lantern. It's a stand-up roller coaster, I thought it would be amazing! NO. Halfway through the second loop my calves BOTH locked up, and because of the pressure of my body and the force from the roller coaster pushing it down, I was in an absurd amount of pain. This was no regular charlie horse.. it was one with alot of pressure put on it while it's cramping, and extreme vibrations from the coaster. My legs were shaking so bad and could barely hold my body up. I physically could not hold my body like a normal person and I was walking with my knees bent a little bit and my feet flat on the ground. Oh gooooood never ever ever ever again!!! They are literally still so tight and it's difficult and painful trying to relax them.
Then El Toro fucked me up lol.. I have a hernia in my stomach (I probably shouldn't be riding rides..) but I honestly wasn't thinking about it before the ride. So I get into the seat, and put the lap bar down. It happens to rest right below it. It feels okay.. until the guy comes up and tells me it isn't registering and he needs to tighten it. He pushes it down, and it started to hurt but there was no going back now..
That being said it was the MOST INCREDIBLE THING I HAVE EVER RIDDEN AND I WANNA DO IT 50 MORE TIMES. It was so intense! It has a 90 degree drop and my mom's sunglasses flew off and she lost them but not before they smacked my neighbor (who we went with) in the head. We were in the last 2 rows though so thankfully no one else got hit. It also goes 90 MPH and it is so FAST and boy do you get airtime on it.. I definitely figured out real quick why they needed that thing so tight.
We also rode Nitro (SO fun!), Batman - a coaster that goes backwards, this Conga Rapids thing that attempted poorly to imitate a whitewater rafting river, The Dark Knight which was an indoor one that was in the dark and similar to those crazy mouse rides, and then El Toro and then that bullshit green lantern ride. In that order. We tried to ride Kingda Ka and this drop of doom ride but both were closed down :/
The best part of this whole day was that our neighbors both have season passes and my mother and I got to go for free, BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! They also had a handicap pass and we literally walked up the exits and got right on every. single. ride.
Honestly today was one of the best days I have had in a VERY long time. I fervently DO NOT RECOMMEND the Green Lantern or any other stand-up roller coaster, but everything else about today was fucking stupendous.

Oh gosh that sounds terrible!
I love roller coasters with a passion but when they leave me hurting for prolonged periods of time I'm like NOPE NEVER AGAIN.
I went onto one that in away was wonderful but it banged you around so terrible I had the worst migraine ever after it. Like totally not even worth it.
I hope you feel better !
is it spooky season yet?
You're sweet, thanks! I just realized when I went to read your reply it never posted that whole part after the first paragraph lol
My mom literally JUST gave me icyhot and I am putting it on as soon as I finish this sentence. Okay it's not really doing anything haha oh well I tried. I had a great day besides this though so honestly I am happy.

This just made me home sick. I haven't been to Great Adventure in years. I'm sorry about the Green Lantern pain, and also for El Torro. Especially the latter, it's one of my favorites.
This makes me shudder just how you describe roller coasters!
I'm glad you had fun and that your safe as well!
I've never went to Six Flags before, T_T
open for a surprise ~
It was nice of you to share such a great experience with us. Love that you had so much fun. Hope you get to do it again before Summer is over.

The one you said about wanting to ride 50 times. That makes me think of "the hulk" down in universal studios. That is so much fun, one year we lucked out and literally had no line so we just got out, ran around to the side & hopped right back in. Staff didn't care, they were entertained by us wanting to ride it so many times in a row.
Yayyy roller coasters!! Unless they hurt, then not yay. But yay!
