1. Structure. Know the 4 layers, characteristics of each layers, and order. Properties of a atmosphere on earth, weight pressure etc
2. Heating and cooling. Know why there is uneven heating on earth. Relationship of angles and distance at different latitudes. Know how the athmosphere is heated. What is a heat budget and solar constant.
3. Circulation. What is convection? coriolis? major wind cells and climate associated with them. know directions and latitudes
4. relationship to oceans. how is climate and oceans linked
5. Global warming. patterns trends , what are greenhouse gases , possible human contributors and impacts on ocean
5. Green house gases :
Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Methane (CH4)
Nitrous oxide (N2O)
Human contributions : Cutting trees down, and using things like large vehicles and such that release the three green house gases in large amounts/short amounts for long periods of time. This can include but aren't limited to; large trucks, certain power plants and large facilities and so forth.
4. Climate and Oceans are linked because the oceans are like a pathway to heat/cool the earth. They bring hot/cold air and waters throughout the world with currents and keep some climates stable with warm air/water or others with cooler water/air.

1)I'm assuming the question refers to the atmospheric layers..
Lowest to highest: Trophosphere, Stratosphere, Mesosphere, and Thermosphere.
The Trophosphere:
75% atmospheric mass, wider at the equator than at the poles. Temperature/pressure drop the higher you go here.
The Stratosphere:
Extends 15-50KM above earth's surface . Warmer at the top than the bottom. This is where the Ozone layer is.
The Mesosphere:
50-80KM above the Earth's surface. Cold layer in which the temperature decreases as the altitude increased. Thick enough to slow meteors.
The Thermosphere:
80KM to space..Temperature here is hotter than the club Nelly was at, possibly thousands of degrees due to all the energy from the sun.
3)Circulation:
I'm assuming it's referring to wind patterns..
The atmosphere is unevenly heated, which produces high and low pressure systems across the planet. Wind likes to flow from high to low pressure. Convection is caused here by the transfer of heat. Convection currents are what move the air in our atmosphere.
The Coriolis Effect:
The deflection of objects moving in a straight path relative to the Earth's surface due to how the Earth rotates.
Major wind cells:
Polar cells, Mid-latitude cells, Hadley cells. Also related are the Westerlies, NE and SE Trade Winds, and Polar Easterlies.
5)Greenhouse Gases:
GHG, these absorb and emit radiation in the thermal infrared range (red, longer wavelength than visible light) Essentially theyre gases in the atmosphere that trap energy radiated from the Earth, acting like a blanket and making things warmer than normal. Possible human contributors are carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and fluorinated gases, with a majority from human activity.
