Cats or Dogs?

Cats for me, but I love them all. All animals are really interesting, I like how their intelligence and behaviors are so different from ours, but they still manage to do an extraordinary job at interpreting their owners. My two cats are very people oriented and will greet most anyone, while my dog is true to her chihuahua/min pin nature and only trusts close friends.
They all interact pleasantly with one another and have formed a little community together.
It's hard to choose because both species has their good and bad qualities and both species are extremely different in how they show affection.

Dogs are pack animals and by default must work on pleasing their owner, so this makes them better for a lot of different circumstances. They will work with you to please you.

Cats are solitary by nature and will go this route if not given a lot of attention at a young age. To keep a cats interest you need to interact with them by showing them that you have access to resources. 'Kitten gentling' is another process that can help make cats more sociable as adults.

Like a human child, it all comes down to how you raise them, with their instincts and inherent functions in mind.

Both! I grew up with cats and dogs. Sometimes I'd say I'm more of a cat person because they're more independent, yet they can show signs of affection. Dogs are very attached to their owners though and love getting riled up, so they tend to be more fun to play with. My fiance & I hope to have three dogs in the future and two cats

When I was a kid, we had dogs. I liked them.

But now I have 3(!) cats, and adoring them. They own me. Really. They do.
I love them. Though, I can totally understand people loving dogs, I prefer cats.

I need an equal balance of both!
My dog is amazing and my life would be.. Weird without her, even though she gets on my nerves.. But my cats fill the voids that she doesn't give me..
last year I save 30cats lives from being euthanized.. Through my rescue, of course!
