I've always had a Powerful PC since for ever but my PC died today RIP, brought a Laptop for like 500$AUD pretty cheap but its specs are 2x better then some of those worth a lot more which is strange.
What a was really wondering is it really worth buying a grand platform computer these days?? i noticed so many Laptops etc with spec surprisingly good and fast too and cheap.
just wanted anyone else thoughts.
FYI my PC was a hard gaming PC daul graphic cards 16gig ram, 8core liquid cooling etc cost me 4K$AUD maybe more i built it from scratch. brought it 3 years ago i've added stuff to it since but its costly as shit.
Tbh if you are gaming, a desktop is better imo. Laptops can't compare in terms of raw power even when you spend double the price. Idk, I may be old school, but I've played on friends' alienware laptops and it's just not the same as sitting behind a monster of a tower.

Haha indeed, I've always been a PC lad, my Laptop has a 500gig SSD, 6or 8 gig can't remember. It's surprising fast with games etc it was like 50% off and I haggled it down further.
It's a Asus!
Was playing COD ghost on it and working well max graphic level etc with no lag or screen tare, but I would agree Tower platforms will always be better but the question is how long with that last?

Yeah with the Tablet world and everyone's of the move not many want to be stuck in a room or there parents dungeon.
Yeah I was cheering at the time when I was able to haggle that shit down I guess they where desperate to sell it, it goes have windows 8 first edition but I love it, secret is make lots of short cuts on the desktop screen.
I play my shoots on my game screen BenQ 2s response, can't remember the FPS but it's 100+ it's a fancy gaming monitor.
Edit: noob moment when I get him I'll get the FPS off the game *facepalm* I was thinking of something else.

i'm the same with Tablets i'm just not a fan but oddly enough i love my smart phone i think its just the size of the tablets themselves.
only thing I've really noticed is processing power on my laptop, I've actually sold my PC for 1500AUD few days ago it cost me 3200AUD to build it 3 years ago so getting as much as i did for it was awesome thats for sure.
Desktops. There inventing stack-able CPU's, which could get too tall for laptops, so desktops will rule in CPU power and cores. There graphic cards will always be Superior, since size does not matter as much. Laptops are slow(er), and don't always have Ethernet, which is a MUST for gaming.
