Yepp it's all luck, but the best way I've found to do it is aim in the first "A" in Again (after you've tried once)
and playing until you can't anymore (roughly 30 times I think?) You'll get it eventually :3

I tried for years at this game every day. Then I gave up for months, came back and do it once without aiming and I got the avatar on the first hit.
I think it's luck. I hate it.
