So I saved a swf from dress to impress, and I can't convert it to a gif or avi or anything else, I've tried online converters and freemake video converter.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? D:

Depending on how the .swf is exported, it may or may not have animation. I've snooped around a lot too for almost the same reason as you. I came pretty close. Send me the .swf and I'll see what I can get for you. Most likely I'll be able to get you a vectorized image (meaning high quality, 100% resizable image).

This is the swf I want :3 (you need an account to see links)
Thank you (:
Stuff I wrote before the research/testing:
****UPDATE: Found a way to decompile all animations, still trying to find a way to export as a proper animated gif (right now I can export as gif, but is not animated, even if I choose "animated gif format"). Issue is because the symbols are animated, but they are all on 1 frame.

tl;dr:
After everything I found, I finally found the closest solution after some intense research and testing.
Using Firefox Adblocker's "Open blockable items" feature, I was able to find the hidden swfs!!!! whoo:
Only remaining issue still is that all objects/swfs are separate (background, trinkets, neopet, clothing etc) and are not a combined swf. SO if you really want, I can combine all of them together using Flash, but will be a hell lot of work for 1 swf. But one thing I still haven't figured out is the animated gif issue (see the **** section above).
OR we can do the old fashioned frame-by-frame screenshotting. Which is very possible and can bypass the animated gif issue. I can do it for a big nice +rep just a warning that qualities of gifs are really bad tho, because our animation is way more than 256 colors.

I wouldn't want you to go through all that work :3 Thank you though (: I'm gunna try and get one of those screen recorder programs and just record the animation and crop it :3
Alright no problem good luck
