@(you need an account to see links) what high school do you go to?
I'm debating whether I should sign up for March 10th SAT.. Didn't study at all yet lol CRAM!
OH SNAP! STUY! HIGH 5
2100 at stuy is not high at all. 2100 is pretty much average, and when the school has near 4000 students...
I'm not really showing off, I'm only average where I come from. I understand that different schools have different levels of education and speeds at which they teach the classes.
Too lazy to take a prep course lol. I got like 212 on my PSAT
So close to stupid scholarship crap but just had to screw up on math section
I don't know but I found SAT practice test much harder than the PSAT..

2090 = average. near 4000 population school. lots of competition for college. capisce? :p
Its a great score for most people but just average for someone that goes to Stuyvesant.
All I'm saying is with a 2150 you can get into a decent school, with some extra curricular it can take you a long way.
Looks like you still beat out the average too, so I don't know what you're complaining about.
If you're going to get all offended by what I think, then maybe you shouldn't engage in arguments Don't get so offended. If anything I'm even complimenting you.
Don't look at the stats only. They look at everything from speciliazed skills, Musiclay Instruments, Legacy Stats. Are your parent's Alumni? Your Essay Application and writing/Aspiration.
It's a lot. But you do your best and the rest is out of your hands.
I don't know why people are so worked up with getting into the most prestigious Ivy leagues just for undergrad. I just feel like it's a way to brag it in someones face. unless you get a full ride, then by all means do what you gotta do. this girl at my school got this scholarship to go to any college anywhere of her choice, for free. she chose Princeston.
but anyway, you can get just as far as starting in a pretty okay university and work your way up. you don't have to completely stress yourself out just to get into an ivy league.
In fact, it's more impressive to see someone finishing grad school from an Ivy league, than just finishing undergrad in an Ivy League. that's why you typically see a lot of doctors or other higher professions get their doctorate from an ivy league but got their undergrad at some random university. you don't always have to start from the top.

Yes, most people work their way up from a normal college to Masters/Doctorates @ the Ivy Colleges. Undergrad at the IVY Leage is a waste of money in my opinion as well but it becomes easier if you want to apply to Grad school afterwards.
It's a gamble.
Also, it is a matter of connections.
The idea is that your peers will one day be your co-worker or business partner. You can network in College (Very Important) and there is a vast amount of resources at your disposal. If you do particularly well, companies will scout you out and offer you a job, 120K+ a year once you graduate and pay for your Grad classes so you can get a Master.
Expensive but the potential payoff is immense.
Why else would people break their necks to get in?
