I watched this film last night.

Sure, I think can enjoy just about any movie, as long as I put enough effort into being absorbed by it. For that reason, I did enjoy this one, too.

But what on middle-earth did I just watch? Did the director forget everything that made the Lewis Carroll books so special? What about the original film? All the witty word play, all the sense of psychedelic adventure, and most importantly, all potential fragments of nostalgia (!) completely failed to make the cut. All that we are left with is some kind of fantasy pseudo-epic: which may be fine, but to me it just does not fit with the Wonderland mythology at all.

I'm going to go watch the 1951 version and cry myself back to happiness.

P.S: Also, what is this? Is this a hufflepuff?
