This is untrue, I am sure that TNT COULD find out, they just don't. If they really wanted to stop all this - they would research every pet and freeze them all. And kill this economy. But they don't, because they're lazy. And stupid. Can't forget stupid.

Not as much stupid as much as not worth their time. I think at this point, TNT is more worried about making money of NC items and less about people like us. Sure they'll still devote time to finding stolen and bought pets, but no one is going to go all hardcore and investigate it. It's not worth the time and effort when it could be spent elsewhere

I just spent 20 bucks to get an LE bg for one of my unconverted pets. :3 I'll have to buy some gbc's to send the item over, I think it does bring some revenue into the economy. But none of this is my expertise, so I'm pretty much only speaking for myself here. But I get what you're saying. I'll buy most of my NC from people here, because I want rare backgrounds.

If I was TNT I'd be pissed if someone was making money off my stuff. I'd run a blitzkrieg campaign to eliminate every bought pet until the idea of it became unheard of. I'd make sure my freeze rates were some where in the realm of 90%. This only has to be done for a short time to create fear. Not that hard.

The fact that it is socially acceptable to buy pets means that there is no iron hand doing anything really and it a small percentage getting frozen. There is ultimately a risk, but it is little.

I'm not a PCer, but this is what makes economic sense. Actually if TNT was smart UC pets would not exist. But again they are not....so they do.
