My family and I always put up the same fake tree every year that we have been putting up for about 15 years now. We all decorate it and all around the houseThis time of year is always fun for me and my family
The only tradition we have is not giving a fuck about anything so it's just a day off to do w/e in my house.

This is probably my favorite time of the year. I love the cooler weather, winter break, friends and family all home, it's the best!
Do you have any special traditions that you and/or your family/friends do?
I guess I can start it off.
Every year, my family gets a christmas tree. We used to just pick one up at a lot that was around where we lived. But a few years ago we started something new and went up north a little ways to a christmas tree farm to pick and cut down our own. It's turned into usually some of the rest of our family coming up as well (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc) to get a tree with us. It's always really festive and a good time.
Another thing that I wouldn't call as much of a tradition, just something that I enjoy.. my sister, brother and I always go out and look for presents for our parents together. It's gotten more fun now that we have all grown up a bit more. We don't get to see my brother as much since he is away at college, and because of our different schedules my sister and I don't hang out too much either. So it's nice to get together with everyone and go out around the holidays.

You forget to say that at night, you and your family have chicken pasta!
Every year my father's family join to some house, this year it's gonna be my dad's, and each one bring a different kind of food. This year my mom and I will be bringing the turkey, greek rice, turkey flow and we've ordered a gingerbread. At midnight we start to each and exchange the gifts.
This xmas I ask everyone to give me CAD instead of gifts

For years we would go outside (I live in Texas) and we would decorate our Christmas Donkey in honor of Jesus Christ. We would put a wreath on him along with a shaw type thing, xmas lights, and little ornaments.
We haven't had a donkey for a few years now, so we just decorate our llama.
I am a human being, nothing human is alien to me.
It's really sad....in my house, we used to do decorations together, blast old school italian christmas music, hang out at home....now its "who'se going to be at whose girlfriends house?", "I Don't even feel like putting up a tree", etc etc. Christmas used to be so much more exciting when I was younger...now everyones just blah about it. =/
