This is probably my favorite time of the year. I love the cooler weather, winter break, friends and family all home, it's the best!
Do you have any special traditions that you and/or your family/friends do?
I guess I can start it off.
Every year, my family gets a christmas tree. We used to just pick one up at a lot that was around where we lived. But a few years ago we started something new and went up north a little ways to a christmas tree farm to pick and cut down our own. It's turned into usually some of the rest of our family coming up as well (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc) to get a tree with us. It's always really festive and a good time.
Another thing that I wouldn't call as much of a tradition, just something that I enjoy.. my sister, brother and I always go out and look for presents for our parents together. It's gotten more fun now that we have all grown up a bit more. We don't get to see my brother as much since he is away at college, and because of our different schedules my sister and I don't hang out too much either. So it's nice to get together with everyone and go out around the holidays.
Anybody else?
What's my definition of success?
Creating something no one else can
Being brave enough to dream big
Grindin' when you're told to just quit
Giving more when you got nothin' left
I become a lazy ass and laze around the place all day.
The difference at this time of year is I do it of free conscience, without the burden of school/work (for now).
2 more exams... TWO MORE... and then I will be doing the exact same thing for awhile.
I got done a bunch of my shopping on cyber Monday, so I only have a little bit left. My sister started baking cookies which she luckily doesn't mind me constantly stealing. I don't know what can be better than that. OH, and only working weekends, nty to upping my work schedule to make up for the lack of school.

hmmmm, well, i love driving around to look at christmas lights, but that was definitely a bigger deal in Kansas than it is in Florida.
my mom and i do have a tradition that every year, we make a point to have a mother-daughter date and doing some fun and outlandishly expensive, like getting all dressed up, going to see a christmas play, and eating dinner at a super fancy restaurant. i think this year we're going to see the rockettes, and i'm actually pretty excited about it. c:
other than that, my family's "traditions" have morphed a lot since i was younger, especially now that all my brothers and i have moved out of the house. we still try and celebrate together, but this year will be weird because one of my brothers and his family are in michigan and another brother was just stationed at mcchord air force base...actually, i think this might be the first year my whole family can't get together for christmas. well, now i'm sad.
but yeah, that's about it as far as traditions go.
gotta be honest, though, @(you need an account to see links)'s tradition sounds pretty tempting...i might have to try that this year.

usually just chill at home, sit huddled up all warm and talk to my fam ^_^
on christmas day or christmas eve, we go to a military base and have lunch with retired military, active duty, and their families
but during winter break i just sleep and watch tv

Hmm, our traditions have kinda vanished since we lost my dad. Last year, we didn't even decorate a tree ;P my mam's decided we'll have one this year though, and we're decorating it tomorrow. Our traditions usually just involve visiting my mam's side of the family on boxing day (Mike said you guys don't have boxing day in the US -- basically it's just the day after Christmas where all the sales start, apparently it's called that because you shove all your new stuff into boxes and store it away xD idk).
It used to be a tradition in my family that we all gathered at my grandmas house and decorated outside as well as inside. But my grandmas health has really went downhill so we haven't did that in years.

The only thing I can think of is watching Christmas movies and staying in bed playing video games whenever it snows like crazy.
