Have you ever been sexually harassed at work?

My previous boss use to randomly hold my hand. He wasn't gay though, he just loved acting gay at work, it was kind of his thing and he did it with everyone.

I work customer service (very demoralizing) and my supervisor makes me feel super uncomfortable.

A week ago she approached me while I was taking a call (my body language clearly said back da Flock off) and she started massaging me.

I tensed up like a hedgehog, then she slid her hands down my arms and rubbed my hands.



I don't know what to do, but I feel incredibly violated.

Have you ever been harassed at work? How did you settle it?

That is quite bad, to me that is bullying aswell. Either tell them youself or ask for advice off a close friend. Hope you get this situation sorted out. I feel for you.

He was actually an awesome boss though, we use to all get stoned while working at least once a week, We were working roughly 5-10 hours less than we were paid for. The job itself sucked, but I must admit I miss the pay.

I've worked in a Turkish food shop with most of the employees being Arabic. My boss always called me Dutch Slut because I "showed too much skin" and shit like that.

Hmm...when I worked at a restaurant, i had this one coworker 10 years older than me who was...well, not my cup of tea, constantly make blatant sexual advances that pretty much scarred me, so I know the feeling. Didn't stop until she told another coworker that she wanted to fuck him and got reported for it...yeah. Hell, I'm not even that attractive!

I used to work part time at Target, and similar incident happened to me while I was working at Electronic department. It was my supervisor who did it. He was simply making sexual remark ,and compliment me on my look and thing escalated at quarterly party which lead to me quitting shortly after (involve unnecessary touching, *people said he was drunk*, but i think he just took advantage of the situation or the fact he pretended or is really drunk but that is no excuses.). Let me tell you, instead of confronting the issue with her directly, talk to the HR department or a senior manager. The likelihood of senior manager will be willing to handle the situation is almost zero (since they hate office drama nor like to stir the pot), but it all depends how your relation is with the senior staff. Best thing is to talk to the HR since they are primary responsible is taking care this sort of things. If all fails, quit and find another job, that's what I did and now im working as a clerk in the lawyer's office, much better environment and pays.
