So I just submitted my AMCAS application for verification! #emotional
Is anyone else on here applying to medical school this cycle or is currently a medical student?
For those who don't know, AMCAS stands for: The American Medical College Application Service. It's a lovely application that can cost nearly $700 to apply to 15 medical schools, not including costs for secondary applications. It's akin to the Common Application that a lot of us had to do for college. Moreover, the application takes about six weeks to get "verified" by officials to make sure that you classified your courses correctly and what not. Then it's sent to medical schools where they decide if they want to send you secondary applications (most do for the money). Then, after that, the lovely waiting process for interviews begins and occurs throughout the whole year. It's just fun, of course...
Anyways, congrats to everyone submitting their app today or if they're still working on it--it's a monster.
