Do you think Neopets has a future 5 years from now?

It's a rather straight forward question.
    What's everyone's thoughts on this.

Not if they continue if not listen to their users.

I'm also under the impression that by not spending more time listening to their users they are dooming themselves in the long run.

I'm also thinking that they only have one programmer for the entire site and the rest are moderators/artists, because programming errors are almost never fixed unless they are part of a site event.

It's going to end up like Myspace. Sure you have your oblivious users, but most people get on there for nostalgia, and then leave for 2-3 years.

Why, yes. The world does revolve around me.

If TNT doesn't continue to push more sticks up their butt, it will probably live for a good while yet (but that's not going to happen, pffff)

it'll definitely have dedicated users until the bitter end no matter which direction it goes - if the site does live on I think its userbase will be an entirely different demographic in 5 or so years time. I don't even know man

    In my opinion, no

I think that neopets doesn't have much of an appeal to younger kids as newer games do. New time users have to be really proactive to start getting involved in the game, so they don't get as attached and don't stick around for long.
The older players who stay for nostalgia will eventually grow up and go away. I mean, I love neopets and I've been playing since the 3rd grade (Im 22, almost 23 now.. oh god!!). But as much as I try, I honestly only play for maybe 3 months out of the year, and then never visit the site again. I have school, and work, and friends, and just... no leftover time that I'd rather be doing something else with.

I'm under the impression that viacom lets it run so long as it generates some sort of profit, but doesn't do any long term planning to keep it afloat. It'll sink when it sinks

Unless they improve their customer service (which is,by the way, horrible ) and stop babying the neocash freaks (aka people that buy 1 mil worth of nc every second ).
