    Unhappy UGH CELL BIO

okay so my professor decided to make everything 10x harder for us this year because she said she thought she was going too easy on the previous years

    she doesn't curve her exams
her exams aren't on her lectures or the book
her teaching assistants are total shit

today i took an exam and would be lucky to get a 50 on it
my first exam i got a 78, the average was around 74

it's now impossible for me to get an A in this class
to get a B in this class, i need 80's on my next exams, assuming i got a 50 on this test and do the 10 points of extra credit available

I'M SO STRESSED OUT WTF THIS ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE MY HARD CLASS
    ORGO WAS
I HAVE AN A IN ORGO

i can't get below a C in any of my classes or i'll get kicked out of my guaranteed pharmacy position, even if i had a 4.0 before (i have a 4.0 right now, not including classes i'm taking this semester)

    UGH
    UGH??!!??

    U G H?

i just want to get drunk and cry and maybe cry some more and pass out for a week

i love bio but now i suck at it apparently
i hate chemistry but i've always been good at it i guess

You're gonna land an F for sure if you do that.

    ---

If you're acing ochem (It's ochem, right? Is that what they call it in the States? Orgo? Rofl, sounds like a fuckin' character in Star Wars!), that's boss. I concur that ochem is hard.

And at least it's intro cell, I assume - it's aight.

Adv. cell was the single hardest course I ever took. I ended up dropping it.
(And buddies say neurocell pharmacol was even harder...I almost chit pants when I heard that.)

^ It alone killed my aspirations of specializing in Immuno or Neurosci.

...well good luck with that. Radiolabelling, vSNAREs, pulse beading, Clathrin, and Synaptobrevin is all I rememeber from my foray into Adv. Cell.
They're all terms that give me great disgust whenever I hear them said.

Mmm...pchem. We call it "inorganic" or "analytical", depending on the specific course.
Shit, everything is so different down there, it's like we live on different planets!

Give you advice? I don't know...I'd have to see you in some VS garments before I could give you some of my "advice".

Or y'know. I could just call up a few of these hot bitches I know: Miranda, Adriana, and Alessandra.
I think they could maybe give you a discount on that chit.

Are you in 2+4/early assurance type thing? Cell bio in my school was graded very strangely...not difficult if you memorized the slides but easy to mess up. Basically had to be flawless for an A/only curved if not enough people fit the bell and got A's (well that's always the case really)

Nah, I'm in a 4+4 guaranteed acceptance thing. As long as I get a degree in something and finish pre-pharm requirements, I don't have to apply or take the PCAT. I interviewed for the pharmacy school while I was still in high school.

Ugh, slides aren't even helpful. :'c Not to mention I read the textbook + take thorough notes.

Oh..that's nicer. I go to a school that has a top 20 pharm school and here if you apply as a pharm major and if you maintain a 3.5 you get an interview in 2 years after the requirements are done. You don't have to take the PCAT but they can still reject you so I left that program. Too risky because you're apart of the regular application pool as well. Plus you don't get a bachelors.
So yeah, I wish I went to your school!

That's really a shame. I have a friend that watched videos for cell bio and that's how he got through. He's a very lazy smart and he got an A without watching lectures. I'll ask him if you want to know what those were?
