Well swampy, I already told you before, but I'll tell you again:
Don't sweat it, first year is often the hardest (esp. in science) (esp. in bio sci),
because those compulsory courses in your junior core must be completed, even if they're completely irrelevant to what you're going to be studying and working on in your later career.
Just make sure you ride them out to a pass/satisfactory standing to survive to next year - then you ought to be in the clear and only taking courses relevant to your interests.
