Is it necessary to use a proxy?

I'm new to all of this, so I appreciate any help.

I used an ABer years and years ago. I kind of think it might have gotten me frozen.
But that's what happens when you buy like 8 Herbal Scrambled Eggs in 1 restock...

Anyways, I'm only planning on using 1 account to AB this time around and I wanted to know if using a proxy is necessary? I'm pretty unfamiliar with them, but don't they hide your IP or route it through somewhere else? Is there any way that using one could actually end up getting my account flagged?

Any information you can give me would be appreciated.

EDITED: Also, please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm assuming you shouldn't browse Neo independently when the ABer is running, right?

If its your only account then its fine to just use your IP and no proxy. If you have multiple accounts then it is necessary. Check it with a proxy checker and only use elite proxies.

And don't go on your account when a program is running.

Can you provide where we can get access to these proxies? Im currently running like 4-5 under the same IP but I have a plan to back that up.

Just Google free proxy sites. If you could find one with good proxies that isn't super popular that would be the best option.

Or use a VPN. I prefer VPNs
