    Little Miss Sunshine was an absolute riot to watch when I'd been drinking copious amounts of champagne

    if you appreciate the humour (some of it is rubbish imo) Monty Python is also a great option

    Yeah Monty Python is from the 70s. I recommend The Meaning of Life as a starting point because it's a mixture of sketches and not just a straight up film. It's pretty 'out there'!
