Oh God.
Jo is becoming a true mom. She keeps saying "dear".
Are you moving a long distance, or just around the corner type of situation? for example, if you forget to bring something can you go back and get it?
There are no girls on the internet.
Mattress, Boxspring, multiple pillows, baby pillow*, formula, diapers, safety objects.
Baby pillows are the horseshoe shaped pillows that babies use for feeding/sleeping/etc.
Safety objects include:
Outlet covers
Cabinet locks
Door/Window knob locks
Edge/Corner guards
In general here's what I brought my first week on my own:
Dish soap
Shampoo
Toothbrush/Toothpaste
Groceries (mostly dry goods/canned goods)
2 Emergency candles
Basic tool set (Wrench/Hammer/Pliers/Screwdriver)
Duct tape
Blankets/Sheets/Pillow cases
Most of these things are just in case you're ever in a bind when maintenance can't come out or you need
to McGuyver something.
(you need an account to see links)Why, yes. The world does revolve around me.

Is something wrong with that? ;~;
Oh shit I am. Sorry guys.
Next town over, about 20 minutes away.
Thanks! I'll be 6 weeks on Monday according to the doc.
And $300 is the MINIMUM for that room. If they wanted to, they could charge me up to $700.
It's all dependent on my income. I'm not sure how they'll determine all of it.
And Dixon, Illinois is where that apartment is.
I live in Sterling.
Holy hell I love you. o-O
Be sure you have in an easily accessible container (i used two duffel bags that I kept in the truck next to me) the items you'll definitely need the first 24 hours:
clothing changes (for you and baby)
toilet paper
tooth paste
tooth brush
soap
deodorant
a towel
a cup
a plate
a fork
a spoon
Bottle(s) for the baby
diapers
a trashbag
your phone charger
a notepad and pen
first aid kit
assorted baby items (binky, blanket, toy, etc depending on your baby's needs)
It's a good idea to adjust this to your own needs. Keep track of stuff you use everyday and adjust the list. Moving is always crazy that first day or so while you are arranging/unpacking everything. This ensures that you know where everything you NEED that first day is in one place.
