My grandma made me a peach strudel two weeks ago.. It was pretty amazing, so I thought would share this recipe with anyone else who might be interested!
2 packs of crescent rolls
2 8oz cream cheese
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg white
2 cans of fruit pie filling(which ever you prefer!)
For the glaze:
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
2 T milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preheat oven to 350, grease a 13x9 pan. Lay a pack crescent rolls, in the pan and pinch together. This should cover the bottom of the pan. Beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and egg together until smooth. Pour in pan, and add two cans of fruit pie fillings of your choice. Put another layer of crescent rolls on top and brush with egg white and bake at 350 degrees for 38-45 minutes. Top with glaze after cooling for 20minutes. Just mix all of the ingredients in a bowl, and voila!
Wait for it to completely cool off or else you will end up with a glob. Who cares, goes in and goes out the same way!
Here is the strudel I made via this recipe..
