-don't use birth control
-birth control fails
-friends are starting to have children
Before we start, I am looking for mature awnser. This is for my parenting class, and i'd like to keep this serious and mature, as I am getting a grade for this, thank you.
I am looking for about 15 reasons on why people have babies, and I only have about 3!
-Procreation
-Wanting to start a family
-Pressure from parents
They can be positive/negative reasons on why people have kids, as long as again, they are worded in a mature way, and something I can say to my teacher without her getting all mad. I'm willing to +rep for reasons, and +fullrep for a more detailed awnser. (I hope this is not considered cheating omg ;_; )

Mistake
Revenge
-They want another one.
-To carry on legacy, spittin image of your parents.
not trying to be immature with this one but some families need it and the kids are more then willing.
- to put children to work. (when they come of age)
To get benefits
Accidentally.
As revenge (on your partner)
To tie your partner to you (as in they'll stay if you get a baby, mainly goes for chicks)
They want a family
Forced by family
Forced by partner
They're idiots (teenagers )
To get on 16 and pregnant
Others are having, why not I (my ex had something like this in mind)
Babies are cute
To have an heir
Allergic to animals (no one to cuddle with )
Some are a little dumb.

I like how you said you are happy with your schedule because its challenging, then you come to ck for answers.
Tisk tisk Sam. Cheater cheater!
What's my definition of success?
Creating something no one else can
Being brave enough to dream big
Grindin' when you're told to just quit
Giving more when you got nothin' left

I think a lot of people have children for the wrong reasons, they may have relationship problems and think a baby will fix things. Pregnancy, especially teenage pregnancy is glamorized, if you can get on tv you could make a lot of money for sharing your train wreck life. Financially there aren't a lot of benefits, in the U.S you do get a nice tax return but when you think of the cost of a child you aren't actually benefiting from this. In my state 2.5k cash for just giving birth still doesn't cover everything for the first year but if you're low income you may get assistance if needed. You may feel left out because everyone around you is starting a family so you and partner decide to try, or you may have an accidental pregnancy but refuse to terminate, pro-life, or for religious reasons. Rape, incest, one night stands, you may not even know you're pregnant till it's too late to terminate. Traditional and gestational surrogates may have children for someone else when they're in need of money, or they're completely selfless and want to help give a "gift" for the person that couldn't conceive. Having an affair and resulted in a pregnancy. Blackmail, tricking a man into a pregnancy for child support, alimony, etc.
I have a two year old and I'm 6 months pregnant with my second, my reasons to have another baby are different since they came after I was already pregnant. I'm not sure if it's helpful for you but I'll say it in case;
Feeling the baby's first kick while in the womb.
Hearing the first cry, first smile, first laugh, taking their first steps, first word, it's a never-ending list of accomplishments that some parents rejoice in.
Filling a hole in your heart that you never knew was there, it's an overwhelming feeling of love. I enjoy being a parent and I wish I could have many pregnancies.
