I also used to be a apple lover. Then I tried android. Now when I use a iphone they feel cheap. Now I have a nexus 4 , you can tell how good they are because if you youtube them people are comparing them to the iphone 5. Weird thing is the nexus 4 cost 250 , works on any network out of the box and has a unlocked bootloader. The iphone 5 cost 520..... Not trying to hate on apple but wtf. My nexus has a 1.5ghz quad core processor (iphone 5 is 1.2 dual core) 2gb ram (iphone 5 1gb) and runs any game perfect.

Also I have a app coming out for android soon that lets you login to neopets , manage what avatars/stamps/books you need ect and its really easy to code for. Give it a try iphone 5 is over priced..

When apple put out a update that does not work on all devices they are basically forcing you to upgrade. Like I said apps will all update and require ios 7 which you cannot run. At this point all you have is a mp3 player that makes calls.

Edit: Also if you want to fix your fossil phone , try turning 3g off and on apparently that resets something that rebooting does not..

Have you tried this method? if not you should try it possibly could help

On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. After resetting your settings, make sure to reboot your iPhone. It is very important to reboot or the changes won’t take effect. Like you said you did reset but did you do reboot the iPhone after the reset?

    Hope this helps good luck

Yeah I'd rather not go to the apple store and spend more on them fixing it then the phone is worth
I am just gonna get a new phone soon, and just use this for music

hmm the method i posted usually mostly works.... well if that didnt work you may have to reset all settings by:

Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings ( You will loose all of your preferences. )

If this does not work you can try restoring to factory settings by:

    1) Back up the iPhone in iTunes before proceeding.

    2) Find the "Settings" icon on your iPhone screen. The icon contains an image of gears. Tap the "Settings" icon.

3)Tap the line that says "General." It also has the gear icon.

4)Scroll down the screen until you see a line that says "Reset." Tap "Reset."

    5) View the options on the screen, which include resets for settings, home screen, keyboard dictionary, network settings and location warning. To erase all data, select the line that says "Erase All Content and Settings." When you select it, a box pops up with a red button that says "Erase iPhone." Touch the red button and your iPhone erases all data on the phone.

or just by: plugging it into your computer, choosing it in the "Devices" section of iTunes and then selecting "Restore" from the main Summary window.
