I have a question for you guys.

Why is it that no matter which direction the ketchup bottle is facing, I always end up with watery ketchup goo on my burger if I forget to shake the bottle before squirting? It doesn't make sense. If the bottle faces down, the goo separates downward. If the bottle is facing up, it separates upwards. Ketchup appears to be one of the most mysterious substances ever.

Also, since tomato is technically a fruit, does that make ketchup technically a smoothie?

I am confused and need your help clraik.

I have no idea, but god, this is so freakin annoying.

& Smoothies contain ice, added sugar and frozen fruits (usually), so I don't think ketchup would be considered to be a smoothie. lol

Maybe they purposely make it happen so people remember to shake the bottle. And smoothies usually have ice and something in them besides one fruit so I'm gonna say no, ketchup isn't a smoothie.

Srs bsns Mod. I was listening to a pretty heated debate about this at the bar earlier. Haha

Smoothies don't always contain ice, I make mine with cold yogurt. It's essentially a blend of fruit and other ingredients, sometimes even vegetables. I think ketchup fits the definition, at least loosely.

I think it has to be with milk, yoghurt or ice cream to be a smoothie though no?

Plus, I think the addition of vinegar stops it being a smoothie anyway haha. It's amazing how good ketchup is at hitting all of your taste sensors.
