Rep on c.k really does not matter. People have more than me who don't do anything for this community. Meantime I am coding 1.7k lines of code into the first habi bot or doing other things I can't mention here that basically powers the entire forum economy and makes alot of people alot of $$. Yet people who don't code or do anything but post silly stuff have more than me.. it is a pointless number.

Neg rep is supposed to show that you did something that deserved it though. It's essentially a warning given by a non staff member. It has to be approved by staff and there is a thread created in staff to discuss it every time someone neg reps. So you're intended to learn from it and stop doing whatever it was that caused it in the first place. Same as a warning or a temp ban.

Thing about that system is that staff members do not see personal problems between 2 people all the time. A post on this forum could just be the tipping point and everything else is not even seen. Infact a few things I -repped people for in the past was fully justified but I am not going to write a long explanation to satisfy staff members who are mostly assholes themselves (this is my opinion and is not aimed at anyone directly) or have cliques with certain people that makes them bias. It just all seems rather pointless to me.. Alot of effort for something so pointless.

Neg rep is removed if the post isn't deserving. If you don't like someone and you neg rep a post that doesn't deserve it, staff just gets rid of it. Personal issues don't play a role.
