A contract i dont pay for

i was just gonna not have a phone but my mother in law said NOPE U NEED A PHONE IN LA. And stuck me on her plan. I had a shitty ass phone just like you until last year

I thought this was very expensive for an iPhone 4, until I realized it was dollars not pounds. I won't go back to a contract, I got one with the 4s before the 5 was out, the 5 came out and I ended up paying �529 ($822) for my iPhone 5, my contract is up in a few months on the 4s but I'll be buying my next phone outright. I'd rather pay the one off fee and do Pay as you Go!
