I got back from Amsterdam late last night. I've been very busy at work lately and with redundancies and cutbacks taking place I've worked hard and stayed in a job.
After all the stress over the past couple of months I really needed a break and Amsterdam was just what I needed.
We landed on Tuesday morning, a couple of friends and myself. Spent all day Tuesday in coffeeshops smoking and relaxing and went out in the evening high as a kite to experience the city. If you've never been I suggest you do as it is a beautiful city with more to offer than smoking weed and prostitues. I've been before and I love the place.
Wednesday was another great day, smoking and relaxing again having a good laugh with my friends - all of us very high and finding everything funny.
In the evening we got the Metro out of the centre and headed for the Ziggo Dome to see System of a Down, my favourite band of all time (Rise Against often take over that title, though). Before we got there we'd smoked a lot and were all feeling great. We decided to eat some weed before the concert for an extra high so we got some Chocolates with about a gram of a Sativa in each - I've eaten weed before so was comfortable munching on these. My two friends were both fine when they kicked in, but it really messed me up! For two hours I felt the worst I had ever felt in my life - paranoid that everyone was plotting to do something to me, that my friends were plotting against me, everyone was looking at me - I'm pretty certain I was hallucinating and I was definitely hearing people shout my name over and over - I felt nauseous and had to go out for some air several times. I was in a dark place but my friends thought it was hilarious and decided to make me worse by grinning and laughing at me!! (bastards.)
Fortunately System of a Down took the stage and I instantly started to feel better, and after the first song "Aerials" I was wide awake, feeling 110% and as high as I'd ever been - even euphoric! What followed was the best gig of my life, and some of the best moments of my life as my friends and 15k Dutch people watched an amazing band perform with me. The mosh pits were crazy & great and the set list was top. Let's hope a new album is on the cards some time soon....
Anyway I'm back home now, been to work today. I have the blues about leaving Amsterdam again as I do really love it there - but I feel refreshed which is what I wanted.
Hopefully I can be more active again here now, and my apologies that I haven't been around much for various reasons go out to the other staff and my friends @Infamous Joe @Kylae @Drizzy @Bettser @I_royalty_I @Everyone - I'll be around a lot more
