The problem is I never have the patience to grow it out. And that sounds like work.

The reason why I ask is because I have them.. I've always had my hair layered.. xD
But, here is something that I kinda struggle with.. I used to have short layers in my hair, and when it comes to curling, I've found that curling short laters is pretty hard... Especially if you part your hair on the side and not in the middle, if you part in the middle than your fine! But, I always part mine on the side after im done curling and then one side of my head is more curly and poofy than the other side. xD Hahaha. Long layers dont do that because your hair is at a length to where it looks even. I would definitely recommend getting some type of layer though, even if you don't style it, it still gives your hair personality.. Most of the time I just dry mine and curl the ends, bada-bing-bada-boom!
