I brought one home and took it to my room, basically my parents watched as I carried him in.
They complained of course, doing what parents do best. Then they accepted that I was keeping it and they grew to love him.
Considering he doesn't climb up on our furniture or even scratch anything in the house itself, I'd say they got off lucky.
(He goes outside and beats other cats up)
I got my first little kitty boy last December! <3 He's all black and is called Kyo.
I love him to death. ;o; But I don't have much tips since I'm new to cats myself, except, if you have important fragile stuff, do not keep it in your room. Unless you put it REEEAAALLY high from the ground. (Cats love to climb)
