Did any of your issues stem from childhood films?

While watching the Lion King the other day, I realized that last month was the 19th anniversary of one of the most senseless and brutal murders of my childhood.

I couldn't believe it had been 19 years since Scar murdered Mufasa.

I remember watching this film as a kid for the very first time and being horrified at the events that took place when Scar threw Mufasa down the canyon into the approaching stampede. I remember thinking to myself, 'People are capable of anything. Anyone could throw you into a stampede. Never trust anyone'. And I honestly lived like that for such a long time.

Sure enough, my trust issues are a thing of the past, but my teenage years were still flooded with the thought that anyone can really screw you over by the simplest of means, and because I believed that something like that would happen to me I lived such a socially retarded life.

Here is the exact moment my trust issues surfaced as a child - 0:18.

Did anyone else have issues that stemmed from childhood films or television shows? Or, did anyone have issues that plagued them due to any sort of media?

The Lion King should've been rated PG-13/14+.
It would've never made it past today's PG guidelines.

One time when I was 6-7, I watched a show where this kid took a whiz in the toilet in an apartment building, then showed his mom and his mom saw a Boa in the toilet and screamed. Then it slithered down the drain and was loose around the building, firefighters came in and started axing all the walls to catch the muhfucker. I was scared that snakes would surprise me and kill me by biting my asshole for a while after that.

Another time when I was 6-7, I saw the movie "Striptease", with Demi Moore in it.

Oh my god, I watched so many sexual/violent/screwed up films as a child and they definitely left me with some issues.
One in particular that lefts it's mark is: Silence of the Lambs (which I watched when I was like 6 or something like that)

Chucky. It made me have panic attacks when I see dolls, except Barbie and Ken because of Toy Story 4.
