Western Union, can anything go wrong? +rep

I will hopefully be receiving a payment via WU soon, are there any ways for the person sending the money to chargeback before I have picked the money up? What are the risks on my end?

I do not think there's any risk. I mean, as long as you're not giving them the item or w/e before you get the money. But I guess that could really work both ways. WU is pretty instant it's basically the same as paypal you just have to actually go somewhere to get your money

^ this is correct , you give them a code they give you real money. Cannot charge back on that.

Should I take the money out before I give them what they bought or when @(you need an account to see links) says it's like Paypal, does it mean when they've sent the money, it's 100% permanent?

I've had someone give me a fake number and name before and I got to wU and it didn't work, then they alter actually did it. Don't give them the items or pets until you go pick up your cash!!!

There's a way to check that online, I think. On the WU page.

You could. But I'd still get the money first unless it's a very trusted member, you know? You're a trusted seller so there's no reason why you should have to go first anyways.

Once they send you the code, it is NOT 100% permanent.
They can call WU and cancel the transaction as long as you haven't picked up the money.
So pick up the money first, then give them the stuff.

I've used WU with someone on here as the buyer, and I gave them a screenshot of the receipt after I sent the money.
I suppose some people can alter the screenshot with photoshop or something, but I think you can tell that pretty easily (:
However with WU I believe the person sending money can get their money back within 30 minutes of sending, so be wary of that if you're doing the transfer immediately. After 30 minutes, the money is nonrefundable.

I thought I saw the option somewhere to send directly to the other's bank account, but maybe that's only on certain circumstances. Either way, WU seems pretty fool-proof as long as you trust the other person!
Sorry if this isn't what you were really asking, haha, but I've had a good experience with WU so just sharing some info. Hope this helped a little!
