Like I mentioned on another thread, if you liked Death Note you'll need to watch Naoki Urasawa's Monster. Monster is amazing.

Also, thanks to @(you need an account to see links)'s recommendation I find I'm thoroughly enjoying Hunter x Hunter >w<

I tried it but after about 6 episodes I actually thought... "nothing has happened" lol

LOL yeah, it starts off slowly. The action doesn't pick up till later on when more plot points are revealed and he starts throwing the plot twists at you. You need to wait for the story to build up, it's really detailed but totally worth it in the end. The story is brilliant.
