I quit like a few months ago because after hitting my 12th, 90 I really got bored lol. What Thedreamer said is correct how they made the game to casual. Back in vanilla it took skills. Now it takes 1 hour DPS waiting que for Raid Finder a few times and you have full Epics. My friend is trying to get me back but I have completed everything there really is to do on WoW. Plus PvP sucks hardcore now.
My brother has been playing it for years, but I never really tried it out.
My friend wanted me to try Starcraft though. I have never tried those kind of games, so hopefully it will be fun.
I don't really agree with the fact that "casuals" ruined the game. The game was more time-consuming in Vanilla, sure. There was a ton of grinding, and very few people were able to spend the time necessary to get the random resist gear needed for the ridiculous lag-fests that were 40-man raids. The boss tactics back then were super simple... way more so than today. There were fewer people in full epics then because it just wasn't accessible due to the time and absolute boring grinding that it required.
I guess it doesn't bother me that others can get gear who do LFR. More power to them. It doesn't change my play experience in normal or heroic raids because some random guy who plays only a few hours a week can get low ilvl gear from LFR. Never understood why that bothers people so much, other than perhaps the special snowflake mentality that they must be the only ones in purple pixels or it ruins their game.
The part I don't like about MoP is not the accessibility of gear, but rather the required dailies and rep-gating... that got boring pretty fast. Regardless I still enjoy and play the game.
