I kinda admire you. It sucks to be put in the middle of fighting parents.

I say you are very brave for one!, But they are grown ups and maybe the problem is that you help so much. You've done well to make it this far.

If they are both disabled, the government will cover them. There's always a way. Might take a lot of looking and clawing, but there always is. How many people do you know are homeless in the US because they are just disabled? Your government doesn't just throw people out like that.

The only homeless in the US (and Canada, ), are those with severe unaddressed psychological problems, druggies/sketch people, and lazy fucks who've given up on trying.

Maybe they're ineligible because you are under their household, because your paycheques push them just above the bar. Like I said, you need to shove them to find the way themselves.

Privatize your own bank account; as I said - cut back on non-essential spending. Eating out, concerts, hair appointments, etc. It's a difficult release, but it's only temporary. Phone bills? Try pre-paid. These monthly plans and add-ons (if you have them) are a huge money sink. If you're on a bogged down contract, you need to weigh the cancellation penalty vs. youre remaining payments. All you need is call & text. $20 here, $30 there, $50 in your pocket - eventually it'll turn into $100, and 10x that is 1k. Don't think $20 is too little to go towards a car.

Keep applying when when employed. Then no time will be wasted. If you're not lucky, you still have your current job. If you are, well "Woo!"?

    ---

If you have problems but don't change any way you do things, they'll never improve.

Telling us your problems is a good relief in the moment,
but if you don't make an attempt to dig yourself out of a hole and keep hoping for a miracle in the way you currently do things...more or less: "you're fucked".

So find a way, do things differently - regardless of the unknown. Feeling sorry for yourself will only make you feel worse over time with nothing good to show for it.

If/when you do look for a car- Chevy Prizm/Toyota Corollas from the late 90s last forever and are great for basic "I need to get around" purposes. My Prizm lasted me six years before I decided I wanted to move on. It's still running without issue.

    MOTHERFUCKING OMFG.

My bf leaves at 4:30 AM because he fell asleep and we wake up to find my step-dad came in the middle of the night and took the kia. We purposefully left me the damn piece of shit car for him when the restraining order was issued, but he went on foot.

THEN MY DUMB ASS BROTHER TAKES HIM TO GET THE KIA, ESSENTIALLY SCREWING ME OVER BECAUSE NOW WE HAVE ONE CAR, AND I HAVE TO GO TO WORK OFTEN.

I have to be at work at 9 am and I've essentially gotten no sleep.

    fuck my damn life.

edit: oh yeah I get to stay up for the pleasure of the cop's company this fine morning.
