what I want to do is get a sleevish tattoo of a couple of wolves run into a forest, with snow covered ground. on one arm. then I want to get like a something symbolizing rebirth/growth. (think along lines of phoenix but I don't want a phoenix as they are commonly done)

2 hearts behind my ear which were a cover up of a heart I had done by a friend which was awful.

I have a tattoo that is just for it's artistic aspect and one because it was a $14 VDay promotion and I said what the hell. Fuck it. You want a tattoo, get one - I don't think it is anyone's business WHY you have it.

That is most of mine, sans like 3. A bunch of them have stories, so here goes haha.
The matryoshka doll is because I have Russian in my lovely mutt blood line haha. The lotus is for new beginnings, I got it after I turned 20 and right before I finally got to live with my husband after he had been stationed at a Marine Corps base in Japan for 2 years. The anchor is for my adoptive parents - in part because my dad was in the Navy and in part because my parents kept me anchored down even when I was dealing with a LOT of shit. The bow I got when I finally overcame a lengthy life of drinking and self-harm/attempted suicide. The fox and wolf that I got with my husband is because my spirit animal is a fox and his is a wolf. The flapper era girl is just because I think she is beautiful. The infinity symbol with the rose that says True Love Always is for my husband, we used to sign all of our letters with TLA while he was in bootcamp/MCT. The stopwatch on my foot I got when I finally met my biological father because when we met, I realized that even after 19 years apart, we're identical people who are like best friends. One of them that isn't pictured is a traditional sword and banner. In the banner are lyrics from Rise Against's song Swing Life Away. "If love is a labor, I'll slave to the end." Obviously, another one for my husband. :3 I have a sparrow on my back that I HATE so much, so I will be doing a cover-up on it and I have two word tattoos on my arm that I also despise and will be covering up. The shitty little VDay one that I got is a heart made of two sulls.
