Just wondering, is there any preference over written guides or videos with a voiceover?
Also, is there any reason that someone shouldn't do a voiceover in their guides?
Please post your answer (with reasoning is nice but not necessary )!
Thanks

I don't think there's anything wrong with talking in your video guide. In fact, Joe encourages it in his Youtube video contest:

As long as you can clearly and concisely explain the steps for whatever your topic is I'd say go for it. ^^

Personally I'm a big fan of (well done) written guides over the videos.
Especially if it's not a game guide which really needs video half the time.
I prefer to be able to skip around and be able to quickly skim over what I already know about a topic, and I always find it awk when something that could be explained so easily "on paper" is given a video with some person clicking around their screen and being like "uhhhh uhh and this".
Personal preference but w.e

I think video guides are better for anything that is hard to explain and easy to mess up, but written guides are better for anything that is easy and straightforward.
