Hey guys. I've decided to post some of my own recipes.
I will be posting more which will be my own creations
or things that I have learnt along the way that I have adapted... so first up
Creamy mustard chicken and ham pie
Ok, for this dish you will need
600ml of double cream
(single does work as well if you want to watch your weight)
About 300-400 grams of chicken breast
A small pack of bacon
(pancetta cubes work better if you have the money)
Puff pastry sheet
(make your own but I buy premade for time saving)
600g of ham.
(spam will do if short on money but changes the taste a little)
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) Gas mark 6
Slice ham into cubes and place in your pie dish.
Cut chicken and bacon and put in a pan with about 1 tbsp of cooking oil.
Cook chicken and bacon until chicken starts to turn golden and place evenly on top of ham in dish
(crush some peppercorn over the top for added flavor)
Pour cream into pan over medium heat and add 3 large tsp of mustard.
Stair with wooden spoon until cream starts to boil then turn heat to low.
Whilst staring add small amounts of corn flour until cream becomes very thick.
Pour evenly over the meat in the dish trying to cover all the pieces
Place your pastry on top, cut a couple of air holes in pastry
and place on the bottom shelf in the oven for 20 minutes
After 20 minutes, check pastry has turned golden
Serve and enjoy
