    Best Higher League Battledome Pet?

So I am just wondering which pet would be best to use in higher league battling. I know that, there are a ton of guides out there and I have read many of them, however I think that, they are geared more towards the beginners. I did some searching and finally found out which pets would be in the top, but now I am just asking for advice on which of these pets you think would be better in the battledome?

    In terms of resistance:
    Scorchio or Pteri?

    In terms of healer/freezer:
    Lenny or Kacheek?

I personally like the scorchio resistances more. But seriously... when battling in the high leagues 23/24... pet resistances are not a big deal since theres such massive damage. Also, if you ever used anything but a jade scorchstone /LEV pass League 22....... theres a problem.

For lower level battling, league 10 or so.... Kacheek would be better since the KLP is not that bad and H4K is generally pretty cheap and not limited to one pet.

Some of the guides you've been reading are out of date. Species' weaknesses/resistances were eliminated with the new Battledome, last year. Now there is no pro/con to pet species, except when using species-specific weapons.

In the long run, for high league battling, Lenny prevails. It has a pricier 50% healer than the Kacheek's KLP, but also has 2 cheap 100% freezers. Kacheeks only have the KLP (no freezer), which in compensation, is cheap.

    High league = Lenny
    Low/mid league = Kacheek

@(you need an account to see links) thanks a lot, I didn't knew the resistances were gone, everything I have read always talks about resistances.
I am not really a battler yet, I just want to know which pet is better, because I really don't want to spend that much time and money training a pet, that can't be used for higher league battling. However if the resistances are gone, wouldn't that mean that, it really didn't matter which pet you choose, since you probably aren't using species specific weapons at that point?

Uhh, refer to your 2nd question and my 2nd answer.

If you're strapped for NP, species like Lennys and Kacheeks are still useful for their species-specific weapons, compared to their non-species equivalents.

Eg. Lenny Ray Gun of Freeze or Entangling Lasso is 2-3m, compared to 6.5m+ for a regular 100% freezer.
Or the Lenny Bag of Healing Seeds (or something like that) + KLP are a fraction that of the "normal" 50% healer, Bag of Healing Dust.
