I'm so sorry I can't imagine losing my dog, I'm normally not emotional but i cry every time my dog is sick because I'm so scared of losing him. I cried like a baby when my bunny died too /:
Your dog didn't live to the extent of his years, but he still nailed most of them. Not a lot of dogs even live to 12.
He had the benefit of living a more fulfilling life on your family farm than most other dogs; stuck in the house, backyard, or only taken out to walk n deuce.
Wouldn't you say that makes up for the few years he lost today? And he brought as much joy to your family as your family brought to him.
I think he lived a good life, and died a lucky dog.
(I'll save the hug for when you're off, so you don't show your weakness to others.)
I'm so sorry, what a terrible way to go
We've never been able to keep larger pets like dogs but I totally cried when my turtle died, too. It is the loss of a family member, after all - no shame in crying
