    My dog died today :(

My brother called me at work today and told me my dog died
He was 12 but he had so many more years left.
The poor little sucker choked himself on his collar. It got stuck in a loose board on the porch. Such a horrible way to die!!
I finally got leave approved for July and I was so excited to see him again :'(

(you need an account to see links)

They found a pretty place to bury him on our family farm.

    ^ This is him

Aww, that's awful I've only had one pet of mine die, and we found her dead with blood dripping from her nose. Such a playful kitty. My condolences. My aunt passed away the other day.

My bff's cat died by choking because the collar got stuck on a fence. We gave the collar to her next cat Midnight and a few weeks later we found Midnight in a creek behind our houses bones picked clean by owls and shit. We burned the collar afterwards. :X

Oh no, that's an awful way to lose your cat. I'm so sorry.

I've been really depressed lately because I had to give away my African Grey parrot... 6 months ago. Still not nearly over it, started crying when I found some old pictures of her (I thought that I didn't have any left because my phone got stolen with the pictures on it). People don't quite understand how much she meant to me; African Greys are the smartest species of bird in the world, and they live to be 60-80 years, so we really had a tight bond.

Oh god bless you, that's so sad and awful I'm sending you a massive virtual hug.

We've always had dogs and god losing them is absolutely heart-breaking. They become such a big part of the family especially if they have a really great personality it's always such a blow to lose them when it happens. And you never really think it's going to happen, and it's always way way too soon.

I'm scared of my current cat dying. I have a LOT of pictures of him Don't want to see them after he goes... though, I've taken hundreds. He's so photogenic.

Speaking as someone who loves dogs more than people, this breaks my heart. I lost my dog because he ate something and it caused a blockage in his system, which later lead to an infection. We had to make the call on whether or not he should be put down. This is worse though. Not even getting to say goodbye when the time comes. I know we've never talked on here but I wanted to say I'm really sorry that happened. Hang in there. <3

    Thanks

Really, you guys are awesome. My brother kept his collar for me. I thought of myself as a hardass but I had to sneak off today and cry it out. I'm such a puss.
I'm gonna go home and hug my puppy living with me extra hard. They're so wonderful.
