We just do the 4.0 - 0.0 business. That's my college.
In college, the grading system goes like:
A .................................................. .................................................. ..............90

Seems like they're preparing you.

Pffft. Our grades aren't like that.
It's based by teacher. He/She makes the grades whatever they want. My lit teacher will never give 100s. Her A is like 90-99.
You work for your grades. Some colleges give '-'s or '+'s some don't. It makes you work harder for your grades since college will ultimately decide what job you get into, internships or grad school.
I like having the system like that because if you're at a 70% you still pass with a C and not a C-.
o_O My schools are the exact OPPOSITE of that. Elementary/middle/high school is the 1st set of grades you posted and college is the 2nd, haha.

Plus you're only 13 Emily. Wait till you hit high school...it's rough.
It depends on where you go, I've had the same grading scale from elementary to college, and not all colleges are the same either. I have some courses I have to score a 92 in for an A, some courses also use a +/- scale where a 95 is an A, but 90-94 is A-, and that affects your GPA. And just because there's more room for an A doesn't mean you're going to get it. You have to realize that the classes are going to be much tougher than your little classes you took in grade school so having that grace percentage is something nice.
